Hi...

Thanks to everyone who sent their condolences for my Grandma. It truly meant a lot. Death is always unexpected even when its expected. Im thankful that my Gram didnt suffer at all, she simply went to sleep. She is going to be so very missed in this family.

Thanks to Eric for being here for me. He was amazing. He let me do what had to be done. He helped when he could. He was a hug when I needed one. I love him and Im so thankful he was here for me. He just made it easier.

So much has happened this past week, I dont know where to start.

My Gram dying. The race weekend. My daughter telling me Im going to be a GRANDMA!

Yeah, Im still in a bit of shock over the Grandma thing. My daughter is 18, going on 28. Since my youngest was born, Jess was 3, we knew she would be a mom at a young age. She is amazing with children. I know that she is going to be a wonderful mom. That little part of me wished that she could have waited. In my heart, things happen for a reason. With so much pain and sorrow that has happened to this family this year, this is that shining light I have been waiting for. Im going to be a Grandma in March. WOW.

I probably should add that I love her boyfriend. He is 21, and a good kid. Some of the boys that she had dated in the past were just plain scary! Brad is a hard working, responsible kid. He takes such good care of Jessica. I know that they will both be wonderful, loving parents.

We find out in September if shes having twins and what the sex is. Twins run in his family.

*sigh*

This Grandma thing is going to take some getting used to.

I think Im going to blog about my race weekend another day. So much has happened, I need to collect my thoughts.

Thanks again for all your condolences.

Peace Out...

It's interesting how life seems to perpetuate itself ... through the cycles, through the motions ... You lost your gram but you will get a grandkid in return :-)

I'm glad I was there for you, baby. When you need me, I'll be around...
